Harbour and Site Plan

You will find the harbour entrance at Rhine km 707 downstream on the right after the pier. Be careful, when the water is high, you must follow the markings of the harbour entrance as the pier may be flooded! Drive through to the end, that is where our club is located.

The harbor is located behind a pier and is very protected from the waves of commercial ships. The water depth in the harbor is about 20 cm above the Cologne water level (Download: water level_bridges). The Leverkusen-Hitdorf Yacht Club is one of the most beautiful and largest inland harbors on the Rhine. Every year we look forward to welcoming numerous guest moorings for motor and sailing yachts of various sizes.

Important information in the event of high water:

Slipway: When the Cologne water level reaches 5.00 m, the slipway is closed and the rail slip is also no longer usable.

Pier: When the Cologne water level reaches 5.30 m, the pier is flooded. Be careful, when entering the harbor, be sure to use the marked harbor entrance!

Clubhouse: When the Cologne water level reaches 7.20 m, our clubhouse is floating.

Clubhouse parking lot: When the Cologne water level reaches 8.20 m, the flood gates are closed. The barrier to the club grounds is no longer passable.

Total closure: When the water level in Cologne reaches 9.50 m, flood protection walls will be erected. Nothing can be done anymore!
